Education:
High School diploma or equivalent.
College credit or degree preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of five years of verifiable/related work experience.
Work in Executive Office/ Human Resources prefered.
Skills:
Proficient in use of educational technology and computer applications; excellent written and oral communication ability; strong knowledge of state, federal and local educational rules, regulations, policies and laws pertaining to area of responsibility; expertise in the Oklahoma State Department of Education's policies and procedures.
Must possess valid Oklahoma Driver's license and a personal vehicle.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Coordinate phases of the personnel hiring process for all prospective employees, including background and eligibility verification, new-hire documentation, orientations, and prepare/deliver employment contracts to all employees.
Primary responsibility for assisting all employees with all insurance enrollments and changes.
Responsible for answering any questions from employees or potential employees regarding enrollment or changes to their insurance (health, dental, vision, life, etc.
).
Work closely with State of Oklahoma Insurance Board and SPS Payroll Department on employees' insurance payments.
Provides timely, accurate, and customer friendly administration of processes relating to transfers, demotions, promotions, leave of absence, disciplinary issues, other employment related processes, as well as responses to inquiries regarding such processes.
Contacting and meeting with applicants who have been recommended for hire.
Handle new hire paperwork, background checks, fingerprinting, make employee ID badges.
Enters Employee Data into Wengage, and SPR (School Personnel Records) Provides timely, accurate, and customer-friendly administration of personnel matters related to employment processes for select employee groups.
Provide District Administrators with appropriate materials; compose and edit correspondence, memoranda and forms required of the department; prepare agendas for meetings, school board presentations items and other documents as required.
Coordinate all phases of the employee Insurance program.
Demonstrate effective interpersonal skills while being a district spokesperson for parents and students to our school district and community.
Coordinate Employment management processes with other departments, WAVE, State Department and maintain appropriate files.
Tracks Healthcare Reform Act requirements.
Ensure timely tracking of preparation, dissemination, and completion of all annual personnel performance evaluations.
Follow up with all directors, site administrators, and others responsible for completing and returning annual performance evaluations.
Assists with the collection and preparation of state accreditation reports.
Provide timely, accurate, and customer friendly response to employment verification requests, credit checks, and reference checks.
Coordinate and assist in all transfer applications and maintain transfer requests on State WAVE.
Coordinate and communicate with Workers Compensation providers.
Responsible for ensuring that all records are completed and filed in a consistent manner with District, State, and Federal policy.
Responsible for resolving staff, and parent/guardian complaints in an efficient and effective manner.
Ability to exercise independent judgment in all aspects of the position and to deal with changing priorities.
Ability to make decisions in accordance with federal, state and local rules; regulations, statutes, and Board policy; and apply these to work problems.
Communicate frequently and directly with the District Administrative team regarding potential problems or issues which require immediate attention in a proactive manner.
Able to be in attendance for assigned work schedule with 95% minimum attendance.
Promote the overall effectiveness of the organization by performing tasks and sharing responsibilities with other members of the department/ building during peak periods or when there is an overload of duties, and fills in when an individual is away form the work station.
Other duties as assigned by district and/or site administration.
